The DVSA's online booking system says the next available slot is six weeks out. That's almost never true. Slots open and close all day — here's when to check.
Tuesday and Wednesday mornings
Most cancellations are processed first thing on weekday mornings. 7am–9am Tuesday and Wednesday are the two highest-yield windows we've tracked.
Late Sunday evening
The DVSA refreshes a chunk of inventory around 11pm Sunday for the week ahead. If you can stay up, you'll see options you won't see Monday morning.
Avoid checking on Fridays
Friday inventory is thinnest. You'll see the six-week message and assume there's nothing. There usually is — just not on a Friday.
Best: Tue/Wed 7–9am, Sun 11pm.
Worst: Fri all day.
