Two 15-minute audio sessions a day, spaced out, retains roughly 40% more than one 90-minute evening session. That's not opinion — it's the spacing effect, and it's been replicated in memory research since the 1880s.
Here's how to bake it into a normal week without giving up your evenings.
Morning commute — passive listen
Pick the chapter that matches your current weakest topic. Play it on the way to work or school. Don't try to memorise. Just listen.
Evening commute — active recall
Same chapter. This time, pause it every 90 seconds and try to summarise what was just said out loud. This is where the retention happens.
Weekly check
On Sunday, run a 20-question quiz on the topic you listened to that week. If you score 18+, move on. If not, replay the chapter once more.
Three weeks of this and you'll have covered the whole syllabus without ever sitting down at a desk to revise.
